Ms. Kostelec greets her students with a smile on her face, radiating her readiness for another day at school. Four years ago Ms. Kostelec graduated from Wilde Lake, and now she’s starting her teaching career in the place she always called home.

She credits her English teachers, Ms. Sheinhorn, Ms. Curtis, Mr. Townsend and Mr. Miller, for her immense love of teaching. “I developed a passion for the passion they had,” she said.

Although she claims they influenced her to become a teacher, Mr. Townsend, her junior year English teacher and now colleague, believes that, “She was destined to become a teacher.”

Right out of college, she was eager to begin her journey of teaching. “I knew I wanted to come back here,” she said. “I’ve come full circle. Wilde Lake helped me grow, and now that I’m back, I have even more opportunities to grow.”
