Wilde Lake football star Jaydin Gore recently visited Dallas, Texas to compete in Overtime’s spring football league, OT7. Gore got the opportunity to showcase his skills on a national stage and experience the fun and energy of Overtime’s elite spring football league.
Overtime, a popular sports media company with over 100 million followers across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, holds an annual spring football league that invites some of the best athletes in the nation called OT7. The league focuses on showing off the electric personalities and raw talent of the most impressive high school football players in the United States.
The fast-paced, “helmet-off” style of football gives a glimpse into the future of college and professional football. Wilde Lake’s all-county football standout got the chance to play in this exclusive league and compete on a national platform with the country’s best football players.
Jaydin played with his team Level82, a DMV based 7 on 7 football team coached by former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith. “It was a great environment,” said Gore, noting that everyone was friendly and welcoming. “My favorite thing was being able to perform on a huge platform,” he said. He appreciated that this experience allowed for his family all across the country to watch him play.
Jaydin’s experience was one of a kind and he has returned back to the tournament multiple times in the recent months. “This is a big accomplishment because it is a great chance to get my name across the board for colleges,” said Gore in hopes to attend a high level college football school.
Moreover, Jaydin was ecstatic about the opportunities that the tournament opened up to him. Gore said, “this opportunity has given me better connections with coaches and mentors.” He explained that getting to participate at OT7 gives him a major boost in his ultimate goal to play Division I football.
OT7 gave Wilde Lake’s football phenom a chance to shine on a national level and perfect his craft as an explosive, aggressive, and energetic athlete. With his new opportunities, the upcoming season for Gore should be a special and exciting one to watch.
