31 Left After First Round of Annual Senior Assassin Water Gun Game

At the end of the first round of this year’s annual senior water gun game, “Senior Assassin,” 42 seniors have been assassinated. 31 seniors remain for round two.

73 seniors signed up for this year’s game, each hoping to be the last man standing to win a grand prize of $365.

The rules are simple. Seniors participating are assigned a new target to remove each round. Seniors need to shoot their target with a water gun while avoiding being shot themselves. Seniors walk around with floaties and goggles on to avoid being eliminated. A new round will start each week until one assassin remains.

The game has seniors doing all sorts of wild things including jumping in the back of cars, waiting in bushes outside of houses, spending hours outside of workplaces, and recruiting sibling accomplices.

“The Paw Print” has highlighted three assassinations from round one.

Kain Corkeron Assassinates Jasmine Jackson-Brown

Kain Corkeron assassinated Jasmine Jackson-Brown on April 11 after tracking her location and finding her at a courthouse.

Kain stood outside of the courthouse, waiting for Jasmine to exit the building. When Kain tried to shoot Jasmine, however, she noticed him and ran back into the building, Kain said.

Kain says that when Jasmine came back outside, she had a police escorting her. As the officer walked Jasmine back to her car, Kain followed.

In the end, Jasmine was not able to outrun Kain. He says the police gave her a running head start but the chase ended with Jasmine being eliminated.

“The police officer was walking out with Jasmine, and then the police told her ‘you’re on your own,’ and that’s when I chased her,” Kain said.

Sanaa Bleything-Jones Assassinates Koryn Sanders

Sanaa Bleything-Jones drove 45 minutes to catch her target Koryn Sanders off guard on April 14.

Sanaa says she posted on her Instagram that she would be in Delaware over the weekend, hoping that Koryn would have her guard down at a Pole Vaulting competition in Frederick the next day.

On Saturday night, Sanaa planned for the next day by going to Koryn’s house.

“I went to her house the night before to see what her car looks like,” Sanaa said.

The next day, Sanaa drove 45 minutes to the competition in Fredrick, recognized Koryn’s car, and successfully eliminated Koryn.

Bennett Horvath Assassinates Evan Greene

Bennett Horvath was able to eliminate Evan Greene after a long man chase on April 11.

As Evan was leaving the school building and walking towards the parking lot, Bennett jumped out of his car and began to chase after him. Bennett says he chased Evan from the student parking lot to the baseball field and back.

“It was a long and tiring chase. We had to take breaks to walk,” said Bennett.

During the chase, Evan dropped his car keys, and Bennett picked them up. However, Bennett dropped his goggles which Evan picked up.

Bennett says they decided to have a truce and tossed each other their belongings.

After catching his keys, Bennett says Evan ran, but not fast enough as Bennett was able to spray Evan down and claim his victory.

With $365 on the line, seniors are willing to do what it takes during round two to get one step closer to the prize.
