On November 4, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is getting a new player in their ranks: Doctor Strange, played by actor Benedict Cumberbatch, better known as Sherlock Holmes in the crime drama “Sherlock”.

Ever since the confirmation of Doctor Strange getting his own movie was announced, excitement has raised exponentially among Marvel fans, especially since four Infinity Stones have already been revealed. The Infinity Stones are six immensely powerful objects tied to different aspects of the universe. Each of the stones possesses unique capabilities that have been enhanced and altered by various alien civilizations through the millennia.

The first Infinity Stone to appear was the Space Stone in “Captain America: The First Avenger”. The second was the Mind Stone in “The Avengers”. The third one is the Reality Stone which was featured in “Thor: The Dark World”. The fourth and most recent one is the Power Stone in “Guardians of the Galaxy”. With “Doctor Strange” debuting, based on recent trailers, the Time Stone is expected to be revealed.

Each stone represented a different aspect of the universe (Space, Mind, Reality, Power, Soul, and Time). These stones were so powerful only beings of immense power could wield them. Lesser beings are usually unable to grasp the full power of the stones and are destroyed by them when direct contact is made.

With trailers being released, fans are getting doses of what is in store for them, finally introducing magic into the MCU with groundbreaking effects that have never been seen in previous films. Fans are sure to be in store for a thrill ride like no other. It only raises questions as to how Doctor Strange will affect the rest of the of the MCU, with its introduction to the supernatural.

But if that wasn’t enough, Doctor Strange isn’t the only mystical being getting a Marvel debut. Right now on ABC’s “Marvel: Agents of Shield” our good old friend with the flaming head, the spirit of vengeance, Ghost Rider is finally coming home to Marvel, and he’s not here to play nice. Gabriel Luna has taken up the role by portraying Robbie Reyes, the new Ghost Rider, giving the fans an introduction to an all new character.

Now with two powerful magic users, one alive and one without a soul, the stakes have been raised to an entirely new level. With the epic showdown between Thanos and earth’s mightiest heroes in “Avengers: Infinity War Part 1&2” drawing near, the excitement has been raised with the big question of what these two magical beings will bring to the table.
