Wilde Lake Football Team Advances to Quarter Finals
The football team celebrates their second playoff win of the season.
Cheers overtook the crowd as Wilde Lake beat Manchester Valley in their second playoff game with an incredible 22-0 victory.
Despite near-freezing and the added challenges of a grass field, the players fought hard to keep their advantage of 7-0 during the first half and upped their score by two touchdowns in the second.
“It went really well,” Sam Nason, starting kicker for the Cats, said. “The defense came up huge and the team is really coming together to get the win.
Next Friday at 7:00 the Wilde Cats will have to beat the Huntingtown Hurricanes, who have a 10-0 record, to continue their spectacular playoff run.
