Halloween Lunch Jam Showcases Musical Talent from Music Department

One Wilde Lake tradition that always drums up a crowd is the lunch jam. The lunch jam allows students to sing or play instruments during the lunch shifts.

Many of the students who participate in the lunch jam play two or more instruments, and The Paw Print found that most practice at least an hour a day. The students all choose their bands and the songs they play for the event. The person in charge is Mr. Rankin, the music technology teacher, and he plans and leads it all.

Mateo Parsons, a lunch jam participant, believes it is “a great opportunity” for people to perform in front of their peers. The lunch jam is a well-attended event for everyone whether they are watching or playing. The lunch jams happen twice a year.
